Here it comes...

Holy cow, we are already 1/2 way into November...which is depressing because it means that Kendall will officially be a 4 year old - in fact, she asked Tommy and I last Sunday, "How about we just call me a 4 year old now?"...so we have obliged. Her big party is planned for this Saturday, it will be filled with 15 other bouncing toddlers and Tinkerbell party favors, so stay posted for those pics!
Above are last weeks pic's from our photo shoot @ Kiddie Kandids. The 6month pics are always my favorites because they are so easy to please at this stage! These were actually for Kensleigh's "6 Month" pictures, even though she is already 7 months...so when she is 18, please don't tell her that we were a month late taking hers and a week early with Kendall's, for fear that she may suffer from second-born syndrome!
Once Kendall's birthday passes - we will be headed straight towards the Holiday Season, so hold on tight!

My Pumpkins!

Let the festivities begin...pumpkin patches, pumpkin carving and halloween costumes, oh my!!

THIS IS BEFORE...

~AND AFTER!

It took some convincing this year, Kendall wanted to be a princess (of course), a fairy (yawn) and then the little mermaid - but I already had the perfect idea in my head. I figured that this was likely the last year that I will be able to "persuade" her into what she (okay, me) really wants to be. My perfect idea was inspired by the cutest costume for Kensleigh - the itsy bitsy spider and it needed a coordinating costume to match...a cute little witch! As you can tell, she was pretty easy to convince.

...All this and it isn't even Halloween yet!

Road Trippin' to Iowa

We packed up bright and early on Friday (the 3rd) with Des Moines as our first family road trip destination. No, we didn't travel there for leisure or a corn crop tour but for a wedding....congrats Eddie & Holly! While Tommy and I had expected nothing but the worst - Kendall peeing in her car seat and teething Kensleigh screaming bloody murder the entire way - but much to our surprise, it was quite the success. They were both fabulous car riders and we didn't have to take an abundant amount of stops!
The trip had a few things worth writing over but I have only wrote one that still make me giggle at us - typical suburb family on display.
While we were driving back, Tommy had the great idea of pulling over at one of the corn fields (any among the 9,000 that we passed) to take Kendall's pic while the corn towered over her...so we pulled over. I opened the door to let Kendall out and I heard the most awful buzzing "buggy" sound, except it was more like a rumble. I say "Whoa, what is that noise?" without putting my feet outside the SUV. As Tommy walked around to my side replies "Wow, that is probably the electricity"...for a moment I believed him thinking how quaint this countryside was, it was so quiet you could actually hear the electricity flowing through the wires. Well, as he got closer he said, "I'm not stepping in the grass - I don't know what the hell that is"...so we loaded back up and drove off. No corn field pic - but it sure would have been so cute!

Here is the pic that we got -

Welcome!

This is the first of (hopefully) many entries! I have created the site so that we can keep everyone up-to-date on the amazingly entertaining (at least Tommy and I think so!) lives of our babes : Kendall and Kensleigh.

Kendall is going to be turning 4 next month - despite me begging her not to and Kensleigh just turned 6 months last week.
